Ethan Couch kills 4 & severely injures 2 after getting drunk and causing car accidents. He only faces 10 years probation because he was diagnosed with affluenza. 

Affluenza is when your parents don't set limits on a child because they are privileged with wealth. 

The author gives how the families of the deceased feel. They don't share what Couch feels or how his parents reacted. Some think his punishment was not harsh enough. 

He was 3 times over the drinking limit when he was driving and he's only 16. He also stole the alcohol from Walmart. 

I think he should have gotten time for all of the crimes. 10 years probation is too easy for killing 4 innocent people and injuring 2 of his friends.

Man charged with 31 felony counts has bail set at $50000 in San Diego. 

Kevin Bollaert created a website that allowed others to post explicit photos. The site was mainly ex boyfriends or husbands getting revenge by posting nudes of their exes. 

Along with that website, he made another one where you can remove the pictures for the price of $350. He made thousands before getting arrested. 

The author doesn't give anyone's opinion or point of view. They just told the story and what happened. 

I think that it's a horrible thing to expose women without their permission, but it was a smart idea to get quick cash.

Racial Slurs Painted on Player's House

Isaac Phillips is a 13 year old playing for the Blue Knights football team for Lunenburg High. 

There were racial slurs spray painted on his house from fellow team mates, who have also been tormenting him. 

His mother is white and his father is black and on the house they spray painted, "Knights don't need the n word." 

Because of this the football team has cancelled the rest of their season since there's an on going investigation. 

Being from Hoover, which is such a diverse school, I couldn't imagine any of us doing this. We are truly a family. For this small town, not far from Boston, to do this to a fellow team mate is horrible. 

You want to represent your school and be proud of it. Your team should be a family. This is unacceptable. It's 2013, why are we still being racist?

Sen. James Inhofe’s son was killed on Sunday in a plane crash.

            Dr. Perry Inhofe, an orthopedic surgeon was killed when his plane crashed near Owasso, Oklahoma. The National Transportation Safety Board said that the crash is currently under investigation.

            “I was deeply saddened to learn that Senators Jim Inhofe‘s son Perry was killed in a plane crash this weekend,” Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel said.

            “My thoughts and prayers are with Jim and Kay and their family as they mourn this terrible loss.”

            The Oklahoma Republican announced over the summer that he is seeking reelection next year.

            The angle of this article was to inform of an important death but they didn’t put a lot of effort in details of his death or any other background information.

           

Man Goes on a Killing Spree (blog post 10)

Charles Brownlow, 36, was arrested Tuesday after being linked to 5 deaths near the city of Dallas.

        Three women, a man and another person were killed and at least three of them were shot.

        Police were first called to a home for a report that woman was shot in the head.

        Minutes later the authorities got a call from a house a few blocks away were on fire. Another woman’s body was found after the firefighters put out the fire.

        Brownlow fired off several shots about a mile and a half from the burned home. No one was injured. He then fled in a car witnesses explain to police.

        Soon after police were told that woman matching Brownlow’s description fired shots in a nearby home. Police found a man and woman shot dead and a 3 year old boy was lying down safely in a bed at the home.

        The fifth victim was a convenience store worker was found dead at Ali’s Market in nearby Terrell.

        Police found Brownlow after a car chase and arrested him.

        I don’t know what could have caused him to got on a killing spree…people is crazy these days.

A man accused of killing a family of 5, a mother and four children, is set to be arraigned on murder charges NYPD officer Christopher Pisano said.

 

          Mingdong Chen, 25, told officials about his stabbing spree on Saturday. Chen said he used a butcher’s knife which was retrieved from the apartment where the crime took place.

 

          Police are working to figure out what could have set off Chen who was staying with the family for about a week.

 

          Chen has no criminal record in New York City, but he was charged with first degree murder and four counts of second degree murder as well as criminal possession of a weapon.

 

          Chen also assaulted an officer who was attempting to arrest him.

         The state of Florida mistakenly releases two inmates that should still be serving time. They are still trying to locate the two inmates.

 

          Charles Walker and Joseph Jenkins, both 34, are labeled as “escapees” by authorities even though their release was a mistake that the court made.

 

          Both men were convicted murderers.

 

          They were released because of fraudulent modifications that the court made.

 

          They haven’t yet found the two men who could potentially be dangerous.

School Bus hijacked in Arkansas (blog post 7)

Nicholas John Miller, 22, hijacked a school bus with a knife on Thursday morning, in Arkansas.

Miller was arrested after the incident. He took the school bus with 11 elementary school students and the bus driver in the Little Rock suburb of Jacksonville and ended the 10 mile chase in nearby Cabot, Jacksonville.

The incidentbegan when Miller demanded a car from a woman who didn't have one. Then the school bus stopped nearby and Miller, armed with a knife, took the drivers seat.

The woman called the police who eventually were able to get the bus to stop approximately 20 minutes after the hijack began.

"We were able to get the bus stopped. The suspect was taken into custody and nobody was injured," police offecer Boyd said.

Miriam Carey Shot Dead on Thursday (blog post 6)

Police investigating why 34 year old Miriam Carey of Stamford, Connecticut crashed into barricades neat the U.S. capitol found meds in her home to treat Schizophrenia and other mental disorders.

            Carey was shot dead on Thursday.

            Carey drove her Infiniti up to a barrier at 15^th and E street checkpoint and was approached by SSO (Secret Service Officers). She turned around and ran into a barrier and backed into an officer before driving off.

            Police reported that the car was speeding down Pennsylvania Ave. in the direction of he Capitol and was stopped by security vehicles. At thi9s point officers began firing at the vehicle. Several shots hit Miriam Carey who was later pronounced dead.

            What shocked the nation was that a 1 year old child was in the front seat of the car, but luckily was unharmed.

            The author gets the readers attention by using violence and an exciting story. That usually keeps the readers attention.

            I think that even though the lady was crazy she probably had an alternative reason for doing what she did, who knows?

           A mass shooting at a park in Chicago left 13 injured and 3-year-old  Deonta Howard in critical condition after being shot in the head.

            The shooting took place at Cornell Square Park on the south side of Chicago Thursday Sep. 19^th. None of the other victims were listed in serious critical condition the next morning.

            Investigators are pushing toward the assumption that the shooting was gang-related. The 3-year-old victim Deonta Howard was shot in the ear and the bullet exited the boy’s mouth.

            “Y’all out here killing these innocent people, kids, parents, grandparents, mothers, fathers; it’s got to stop. You need to stop.” said Deonta Howard’s Grandmother, Semehca Nunn.

            I think that Chicago is a very dangerous place for the youth. Well in general. The city should move toward making it a safer community. 

Man who plotted to kill and eat children sentenced 27 years in prison (blog post 4)

         Geoffrey Portway, age 40 of Boston was plotting to kill and eat children. He wasn’t caught; he confessed and pleaded guilty to child pornography.

          Authorities said he participated in online activities about kidnapping and eating children. They also found a huge cache of child porn in his basement.

          This was a summary of his case. Federal prosecutors said that Portway had pled guilty to some of the most vile and heinous crimes known to our society.

          I think that this man should be in prison for life or in a mental institute. Who in hell plans to kill, and eat children. That’s sort of demonic in my opinion. It’s crazy.

Police answered a 911 phone call from wife of George Zimmerman, Shellie Zimmerman.

She said Zimmerman threatened her and her father with a weapon.

Officer detain George Zimmerman but never arrested him. Detectives later came to investigate.

The weapon had questioned to be a gun, but police told reporters there was no gun. But Zimmermans attorney told CNN reported that he had a firearm on him.

The incident stemmed from Shellie Zimmerman filing a divorce last week.

The 911 call: "He's in his car and he continually has his hand on his gun, and he's saying, 'Step Closer' he's just threatening all of us with his firearm."

Shellie told 911 that George also punches her father in the nose.

"I don't know what he's capable of. I'm reall, really, really scared." she says.

I think at this point it is important to just divorce his and stay away from him, thats's probably the safest thing to do.

George Zimmerman's wife, Shellie Zimmerman is filing for a divorce, less than two months after George Zimmerman was found not guilty in shooting death of 17 yr. old Trayvon Martin. Divorce files were submitted Thursday afternoon.

Shellie appeared on good morning american were she said her marriage was in jeopardy.

She plead guilty recently to perjury for lying about finances during a bond meeting stating she and her husband were broke when she actually had about $135,000 in donations.

Shellie and George Zimmerman were living in a 20 ft. trailer in the woods to hide from people.

I think divorcing George Zimmerman would be smart because of publicity abd that staying with him could be potentially dangerous.

Richard Daughenbaugh beat to death Aug. 25 (blog post 1 redue)

Richard Daughenbaugh, a 40 yr. old man of Des Moines residence was beaten to death Aug. 25 in a parking lot by the Wells Fargo Arena. He died from several severe injuries at Methodist Medical Center.

Daughenbaugh was fishing at 1 am. The suspects had no earlier conflicts or any affiliation with Daughenbaugh at all before the incident. The suspects used their bare hands in the beating.

Three suspects, Yarvon Nathaniel Russell, James Alon Shorter, and Kent Anthony Tyler III. All 18 from the Des Moines area. They are facing first-degree murder charges.

Personally I think their could have been no reason at all to beat an innocent man to death. I think the suspects should be in jail. It's crazy to hear these things. A man was completely innocent and now he's dead.

Mother killed her newborn baby boy in bar bathroom- POST 1

26-year-old Amanda Hein of Pennslyvania allegedly wrapped her newborn baby in a plastic garbage sack and left the baby in the toilet tank of in a bathroom of a bar.

Prosecuters claim the Hein then returned to finish watching the rest of the pay per-view wrestling event.

The baby was found by the cleaning crew and died from what appeared to be suffocation.

Luis Revera, one of the men who watched the event with Hein was interview and he said he said she excused herself for an extended period of time.

No one knew that she was pregnant. Investugators are tring to determine who the baby's father was.

Why this lady did this, no one will knows. Prosecutors have not yet made their final decision on to give Hein the death penalty in the case. Hein was in court for a preliminary arraignment on a criminal homicide charge, and she was denied bond.
